An interesting theory about sexuality on Planet Earth is found in *Slaughterhouse-Five* a 1969 Science fiction novel by American writer Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007).

It says that for a baby to be conceived, it is necessary, beside the male and the female which we see as biological parents, the cooperation of at least five other individuals, among whom: a male homosexual, a female homosexual, a male older than 65, a female older than 65, and a baby who didn’t live more than one hour or less.

Because conception actually happens in the Fourth Dimension, we are not aware of this. The theory is explained to Billy Pilgrim (the protagonist of the novel) by the Tralfamadorians, an alien race living in all times simultaneously.
